Why Choose Our DOG Classes?

Here at Alpha Dogs, we believe in making training simple, effective and easy for all owners to understand and follow. No matter the previous training you may of had, or if you’re a first time dog owner.

We are renown for getting dogs to be calm and happy, both in the home and outside. We aren’t looking for competition obedience, instead we strive to teach owners how to effectively communicate with their dog so they learn to listen and be a great family pet.

It’s not about perfect heel position, as they stare at you intensely or doing silly tricks. We tackle the every day problems that owners want, such as;

  • How to settle in the home
  • Learning control around food (both theirs and yours)
  • Not jumping all over your guests
  • Not to pull like a steam train on lead
  • How to wait when called
  • Come when called

As well as much more!

Why we train in public PARKS..

In the past we’ve ran classes in halls and though it’s great when raining. It’s just an unrealistic environment compared to where the owners will continue their training journey.

This is why we find working outside is best.

We could use a secure field, which again in the past we have. However, we found the number one place owners train their dog other than their home, is the local park. Which is full of other owners, dogs, scents, animals, kids and much more.

This is why we prefer to run our classes in public parks. Not only do owners learn how to get their dog’s attention outside. They also learn how to get their dogs to listen around REAL WORLD DISTRACTIONS!

I'm Trained by Graeme Hall from Channel 5 Dog's Behaving VERY Badly!

Chelsie worked with Graeme and his team to learn all she could about dog training, from running classes and even attending a 1:1 with him. After learning from Graeme how to train dogs effectively, she ran the The Dogfather Rugby classes in  2014 to 2015. With Graeme occasionally making a guest appearance to help out and bring in his Rottweiler Gordon to do demonstrations.

It was an amazing experience and the simplicity of Graeme's methods made it easy for all owners to understand. Even to this day she is still in touch with Graeme, and we use a lot of The Dogfather’s techniques in our classes. After all why change something that works, for both dogs and owners!
