Fed up of your dog pulling you on your walks? Well our advance 3 week heel classes can help you turn your dog from a leader into a follower!
The course runs for
3 consecutive weeks:
Held at Freemantle Park 9:00am
Week 1: Sunday 2nd June 2024
Week 2: Sunday 9th June 2024
Week 3: Sunday 16th June 2024

What we cover in class
Week 1
- How to get your dog to heel as you walk
- Teaching when you stop your dog sits
- When to use the "Heel" command
- How to reward using the environment
Week 2
- Multiple training exercises to improve focus and heel work
- What to do when your dog looses focus and becomes distracted
- How to walk in heel past other dogs and owners
Week 3
- Understanding how to implement the entire training during an everyday walk!

FAQ about our classes
What is a balanced approach to training?
It means we won't be solely feeding your puppy countless treats to get them to do stuff, instead your dog will learn what 'yes' and 'no' means. They will understand that listening is in their best interest and that no will result in a consequence. (This does not mean we hit the dog.)
Can I bring the family?
Yes! We encourage you to bring the whole family as it is vital that everyone who will be engaging with the dog be on the same page. However, we only allow children aged 6+ due to them needing to understand the training.
What if I can't make one of the 3 weeks?
Due to the limited number of dogs we allow in the classes we are afraid no classes can be substituted for other dates. However, you will still have access to the life time support so any questions you have email us at ask@thealphadogs.co.uk
How do I pay for the class?
We accept payment via bank transfer no later than 7 days after receiving your invoice.
What is the cancellation policy?
Once payment has been made, you have 14 days to cancel the agreement with Alpha Dogs, if your class has started before the 14 day period has ended and you cancel the agreement, you will be required to pay for the classes attended. Cancellations made outside of this 14 day period will be non-refundable.
How many dogs will be in class?
There will be no more than 6 dogs in a class at one time.
Can I my dog if they are reactive (dog aggressive)?
If your dog can be aggressive towards other dogs then we believe a class environment is not best suited for them.
Can I bring two dogs?
If you have more than one dog you will need to pay the cost of the course per dog, you will also need to bring another person with you to handle your other dog.
Is there parking at the facility?
Yes, in your booking email you will receive address details regarding parking, as well as a map marking the location.

Will there be a test at the end to demonstrate we've been doing the training?
No, there are no tests at the end of the course. We do not like to put people under pressure as some dogs do take longer to train than others.
